The pass connects Phulara with Anekal in Karnataka state via Bheemunipatnam and then enters Andhra Pradesh state before descending towards Chitradurga district. The hill station is well known for its scenic beauty and offers some excellent opportunities for sightseeing as well as camping options.

It has been said that this area was once called “Paradise” because there were so many beautiful places here which were covered with dense forests back then; hence people used to come here on pilgrimage every year during their winter vacations from different parts of India including North India where they would stay over night before returning back home again next day morning after taking rest overnight
